According to astrology, the date we were born defines our personality. Our characteristic features therefore depend on the sign of the zodiac to which we belong. Each one has a period on the calendar, and it is essential to know which one is our sign.
The last sign of the Zodiac has been lent since the early days of Astrology to countless interpretations. All peoples and cultures have been interested in the symbolism of Pisces and its relationship with the liquid element; for this, it is also known as the sign of fish.
It seems that, from an exhaustive point of view, the fish is a being associated throughout mythology with the world of so-called penetrating movements and possessing more psychic than somatic or material energy. Their power and progress serves both pagan and Christian iconology, and the first followers of Jesus of Nazareth coined the symbol of the fish that, going through time, will become universally known and representative of the early Christians; they were often designated as fishermen and the emblematic animal represented by the fish replaced and represented the Master and his doctrine.
In the early Christian society it had a mysterious character and its pictogram appeared in all kinds of places and monuments; the figure of the fish, sculpted or engraved, served for the first Christians to recognize each other and, at the same time, was a symbol of their unity of action.
The ancient Chaldean culture also used the figure of the fish to indicate how the idea full of psychic connotations was cyclic renewed, whose definitive symbolism resulted in the last zodiac sign, that is, in Pisces. The fish, therefore, was an object of worship and offering, and Asian priests prohibited human consumption of fish: they considered the sea and everything in it dwelt and moved as the Great Holy Mother.
The great cycle of necessity, which had begun with Aries, the sign of fire, culminates with the mastery of a sign that has as its element the opposite of fire, that is, water, symbol of universal equilibrium and eternal placidity; Pisces, or The Fish, is the sign of the Zodiac that completes and closes the representative totality of the cosmos and its representation through the twelve zodiac signs.
