gemini - MEANINGS AND CHARACTERISTICS

The dates of each sign make it possible to know which sign someone belongs to only by knowing the date of their birth.

According to astrology, the date we were born defines our personality. Our characteristic features therefore depend on the sign of the zodiac to which we belong. Each one has a period on the calendar, and it is essential to know which one is our sign.

According to an ancient tradition, Gemini often comes to mean opposite pairs. A dual antithesis between the Whole and the individual, earth and heaven, the creator and the created.

This reality of Gemini is present in the Egyptian myth of Osiris and in the legend of the Phoenix Bird. The
latter speaks of the most beautiful species of eagles, one with huge wings and whose size is similar to that of a turkey carrying a kind of bun on its head.
According to the priests of ancient Egypt, the Phoenix had a golden neck and its white tail was marked by red strokes. His eyes emitted a light similar to the flash of the stars, and as soon as he noticed his death, he set out to prepare a flammable nest with various materials such as woods, resins, gums and aromatic herbs in which he lay exposed to the sun's rays. They caused a dense fire in which the body of the Phoenix was reduced to ashes. After the time, another Phoenix would leave from them to fly to the altar of the Sun carrying the remains of his father. This mythical and fabulous bird seems to have lived for more than five hundred years and was always related to the cult that Egyptian priests paid to the Sun.

But within the symbology of Gemini, the symbol of the twins stands out. The origin of this constellation is associated with the Greek myth of Castor and Pollux, two twin brothers, sons of Zeus. Professing an unlimited love, Castor's death leads the other to renounce immortality in order to be with his brother. Since then, the gods divinize them and unite their destinies for all eternity.

In the most practical aspect, it can be said of Gemini that it is a sign full of contrasts. Rated by Mercury, the planet of intelligence, whose influence is often tarnished by the difficult personality of the natives of this sign.
Just as contradictory is their relationship with the rest of the signs, so is the fact that this double personality gives them a special charm. Cunning, convincing and impulsive, they can become very nervous and superficial on some issues.
